A Pixie Well Done

This is a card that I made for my Neice (she is actually almost my only person who ever actually receives a handmade card from me!!)

She had just performed in her first ever Ballet Production so I wanted to congratulate her :) Sorry the picture is a bit dark ... the close up is a bit better...

I love these little Swiss Pixies from CC Designs (even more so now that you can buy some of them as Digistamps!! so you don't have to wait for delivery!! hooray)

I can't remember where the papers are from I'm afraid because they were in my stash but the inside of the card has been done in Photoshop with a digital scrapbooking kit that I bought from here... http://www.theshabbyshoppe.com/scripts/homepage.asp

She's coloured with Copics and to add a bit of extra 'bling' I coloured her boots, part of her top and her wings with Copic Spica pens... which I LOVE and which were worth every penny !!! :)

I wasn't really sure about this card to be honest, just wasn't pleased with it but my neice wasn't anywhere near as critical :) and I still think it was nicer to give her something I'd agonised over than something mass produced from a shop !!

My First Post

Well this is my first bash at uploading a card I've made !! I have no real idea what I'm doing at all so bear with me!

I've coloured with Copics and added highlights with a white gel pen. The below close up shows the sparkles I've added to the cake with Spica pens.

This is the inside - I've stamped a yummy florish in gold and used a Martha Stewart border punch to do the star border. I'm not sure about the blue Oval but it just seemed to go so nicely with the cake!

The stamp is a Whiff of Joy one and I just LOVE the stamps of this little fellow.. I'm already waiting for pay day to buy a couple of him for christmas cards :)
